Day 17 – Contrition
Day 17: Contrition
Is there any choice they regret? What would they do differently, if they could?
When she has to fight Fiona there is a little moment where she regrets not trying to save the mages from Alexius at least. But that vanishes after the fight. Similarly she is afraid after realising that the well of sorrows connects her to Mythal now – but that fear gets laid to rest once she actually meets her.
She regrets having to leave Hawke in the fade though she really believes it was the right thing to do ultimately. She wouldn’t do it differently but she still feels sad about it.
There are not many things in her life she would do differently. And she is not the person to sit and overthink past choices. She is more of a forward thinking person that doesn’t really like to dwell on the past.
Thinking back there is not really something she would do differently. As Lyssa is a person trying to weigh each decision carefully, she is not someone who looks back in regret.
She of course wonders about things and how they would have turned out had she acted differently – her relationship with Solas most of all. It is the one thing where she cannot for the life of her figure out what she could have done differently to change his mind, if anything. It haunts her and it’s not until she openly asks him about it that she finds some kind of peace.
The Well of Sorrows is a point where she struggles most with her decision, wondering if it was the right thing to do to let a human gain elven knowledge but when she sees how Mythal physically controls Morrigan, she is glad she didn’t do it.
